What is Nuri?

The 2 a.m. answer to “is this normal?”

New parents are exhausted and drowning in contradictory advice. Most baby trackers are either clinical spreadsheets that capture data without insight, or cluttered marketplaces of upsells and weak tips. Nuri is different: it translates peer‑reviewed infant sleep, feeding and development research — AAP, WHO, Wonder Weeks, Borbély’s Two‑Process Model — into a calm, beautiful app that makes logging take seconds and answers “what now?” with predictions computed entirely on your phone.

It reassures rather than alarms. It frames everything as companionship — never as medical authority.

What it does

Everything the first two years ask of you

Effortless logging

A feed in four taps or fewer, one‑handed, from any screen. Smart defaults remember the last feed, side and amount — the fastest log is a single tap.

“What now?” predictions

The dashboard tells you the next nap window — “Nap in 32m · closes 11:14 AM” — from day one, growing personal as Nuri learns your baby’s rhythm. All of it computed on‑device.

Sleep, with sounds

Live nap timers that survive backgrounding, a 24‑hour rhythm view, 14‑day trends with WHO goal lines — and a library of offline sleep sounds with gentle fade‑out timers.

Feeding & first foods

Breast, bottle and solids in one place. A 90‑food exposure grid and a top‑9 allergen tracker follow AAP introduction guidance — with a clear emergency path if a reaction ever turns serious.

Growth & leaps

WHO percentile curves for weight, length and head circumference, computed on your phone. Day‑by‑day developmental leap guidance explains the fussy weeks and the wonderful new skills behind them.

Calm, evidence-based guidance

Safe‑sleep reminders, milestone checklists and tips drawn from published research — written to reassure, never to alarm. No anxiety‑inducing red flags, no guilt.

Our philosophy

Quiet principles, firmly held

A companion, not a medical authority

Nuri sits beside you, not above you. Every prediction and every piece of guidance carries the same honest footer: Nuri is a companion, not medical advice. For concerns, call your pediatrician. When something looks serious — like a severe allergen reaction — Nuri doesn’t play doctor; it points you straight to emergency services.

Private by design

Your baby’s data lives on your phone, in the app’s own protected sandbox — by default it never leaves the device. There are no analytics, no crash trackers and no advertising identifiers. Ever. If you choose, an optional, opt‑in encrypted backup ties your data to your own account and nothing else. No ads, no data sales, no social feed. Nuri is private by design.
